David Vinge

David is a sophomore in the Penn NROTC program studying Biology from San Diego, California. Despite being from California, he spent nine years living in Verona, Italy before coming to Penn. Besides Kite and Key, David is involved in research on Tuberculosis and is part of the Alpha Iota Gamma pre-health fraternity. In his spare time, Davidenjoys going for long runs down the Schuylkill river trail, playing basketball, eating brunch, and learning new ways to spin his pen to look cool in class. David hopes to pursue a career in Navy medicine. Make sure to ask him about living abroad and the NROTC scholarship.

Carissa Zou

Carissa is currently a freshman in Wharton from Palo Alto, California. She joined Kite and Key because she feels incredibly lucky to be a student at Penn and loves sharing the stories and characteristics of the university that make it so unique. Aside from Kite Key, Carissa is also involved with Alpha Phi Omega, Wharton Women, and 34th Street Magazine, but she also enjoys spending time exploring the city with her friends.

Mary Whiting

Mary is a sophomore from Minneapolis, MN studying Finance and Management in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Wharton. She loved being a summer tour guide and decided to join Kite and Key to continue sharing her endless enthusiasm for Penn! Mary spends a greater portion of her time in the pool being on the Varsity Swim Team, but also enjoys leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and being a part of Penn Faith and Action, Wharton Women, and Wharton Investment and Trading Group. Though she treasures her education at Penn, she wishes that she could run away with the circus to become the professional flying trapeze artist she has always aspired to be.

Jay Vaingankar

Jay is a freshman in the Huntsman Program from East Windsor, New Jersey. He joined Kite and Key because he loves interacting with prospective students and sharing his Penn experiences. Jay is also involved with the Penn Parliamentary Debate Team, the Intercollegiate Model United Nations Team and is part of the Sigma Nu fraternity. In his free time, he loves playing basketball, speaking Spanish, and beatboxing.

Allison Sparrow

Allison is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences from Haddonfield, New Jersey studying chemistry and secondary urban education. Apart from Kite and Key, Allison is in Penn Sirens, Soundworks Tap Factory, Community Schools Student Partnerships, and serves as the Vice President of Campus Affairs for Alpha Phi sorority. She loves Penn and is happy to share about any of her experiences!

Margo Sanders

Margo is a sophomore in Wharton from Apple Valley, Minnesota. She joined Kite and Key the spring of her sophomore year because she wanted to be able to share her Penn experience with others and show people what is like to be a student at Penn. Aside from Kite and Key, Margo is a Management 100 TA, a research assistant, a member of the University Choral Society, volunteers for Penn for Youth Debate, runs speaker events for the Wharton Management Club, and is part of the Alpha Phi sorority.

Jill Rosenthal

Jill is a freshman in Wharton from Sioux City, Iowa. She joined Kite and Key in the spring of her sophomore year because she loves sharing her personal experiences at Penn with others! Apart from Kite and Key, Jill is a Wharton Ambassador, is involved in Penn Running Club, and is part of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority. She loves dogs, ice cream and omelettes from Bridge Cafe.

Shaunak Kulkarni

Shaunak is currently a freshman in Wharton from Pune, India. Ever since he got into Penn, he has been absolutely crazy about this University and is thrilled to share this craziness with high school students. Shaunak is extremely involved on campus, and is a member of 10 clubs apart from Kite and Key. His favorite ones include the Penn Cricket Club, Penn India Association and his 3 Wharton clubs!

Michael Jonathan

Mikey is a sophomore in the Vagelos Molecular Life Sciences Program majoring in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Economics from Jakarta, Indonesia. He joined Kite and Key in the spring of his sophomore year after touring as a summer tour guide his freshman year and realizing just how much he has fallen in love with Penn. Apart from Kite and Key, Mikey is a research assistant at the Wilusz Lab, sings with the Penn Glee Club and Disney Acapella, is involved with the TAC-e community at Penn, and helps run the After-School Arts Program at Platt Performing Arts House. When he does find the time, Mikey enjoys working out, traveling, playing any type of board or video game, and honing his culinary skills.

Madison Johnson

Madison is a freshman in the College from Stamford, Connecticut. She joined Kite and Key the spring semester of her freshman year because she realizes how formative college tours are in making your college decision and wanted to share her amazing experiences with potential students. Apart from Kite and Key, Madison is a tutor with West Philadelphia Tutoring Project, a buddy in PennPals, a member of Penn Dems, and a part of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority.

Elisabeth Hyde

Elisabeth is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences from New York, New York. She joined Kite and Key the spring of her sophomore year and she is absolutely enjoying the experience thus far! Apart from Kite and Key, Elisabeth is a part of Penn Benjamins (Peer Counseling Group), Big Brothers Big Sisters (Mentorship Group), Phi Alpha Delta (Pre-Law Fraternity) and Pi Delta Phi (French Language and Culture Group). Outside of academics, Elisabethlikes to sing, play Just Dance on the Wii, and have deep conversations with her friends.

Tanu Balla

Tanu Balla is a freshman in M&T from Stamford, CT. She applied to Penn because of how amazing her tour was, and wants to pay it forward as a Penn tour guide. Outside of Kite and Key,  she is involved with the Wharton Council, M&T Student Board, PennApps Organizing Team, and Society of Women Engineers. In her free time, Tanu likes to go see musicals and eat food (preferably brunch).

Erin Bussey

Erin, a freshman in the College from Westchester, NY, is in the College of Arts and Sciences with a possible major in Biological Basis of Behavior. Aside from Kite and Key, she enjoys tutoring kids from neighboring public schools as a tutor through the West Philadelphia Tutoring Program, mentoring young black girls through HERstory, and trying to keep up with her New Year’s resolution of reading for pleasure. Some of her other interests are playing soccer, listening to music, and watching Netflix. Feel free to ask her about how to get involved in public service at Penn and some of her favorite things to do on campus.

Philip Chen

Philip is a freshman in Wharton from Melbourne, Australia. He joined Kite and Key because he wanted to share with potential students why he loves Penn so much. Outside of Kite and Key, Philip is involved with the Penn Social Entrepreneurship Movement, Chinese Student Association, West Philadelphia Tutoring Project and Impact. Some of Philip's greatest passions include traveling, performing arts and food.
 

Stephen Cho

Stephen is a Junior pursuing a dual degree in Biological Basis of Behavior and Healthcare Management & Policy in the College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton School. In addition to tour guiding with Kite and Key, Stephen serves as a Residential Advisor in Harnwell College House and directs the Peer Advising program in the College of Arts and Sciences. He has served as the Vice Chair External of the Penn Undergraduate Health Coalition, is the Founder of MEDLIFE Penn, and Co-Concertmaster of the Penn Chamber Orchestra. He is also a Partner in a digital health startup called Swellbox and directs all operations at Penn Harvard and Stanford.
